  1. The KurzKeySite wordmark over a Kurzweil control panel.

    Welcome!

KurzKeySite is online. Over the years as a Kurzweil user I have built up a lot of know-how, and I would like to pass it on: guides, overviews and sound sets for these wonderful instruments, content I first posted in the Kurzweil Facebook groups (often updated and reworked since), and useful tools to share. Here it is all in one place that is easy to search and does not scroll away. More will be added step by step. Have fun!

SP8 available in more and more markets

The Return of a True Professional Stage Piano - the SP8 is now available in more and more markets.

    • Real V.A.S.T. synthesis engine: unlike the SP7, the SP8 brings back Kurzweil's flagship synthesis engine, V.A.S.T., which allows much deeper sound editing.
    • Extended sound engine and synthesis: besides 2 GB of FlashPlay sounds, the SP8 adds a 6-operator FM synthesizer and KB3 ToneReal organ modeling.
    • More factory sounds: over 1000 factory programs (700 of them new presets) and over 200 multis.
    • Revised design and controls: the case is slimmer and lighter for easier transport and follows the look of the newer K2061/K2088 line. There are also five assignable knobs and buttons, each with a 3-position switch.
